![]() Rosey Timmis-Norton is a Lincolnshire based wildlife photographer and writer, known both nationally and internationally. Rosey lives in a quiet village and keeps horses, chickens, ducks, some Ryeland sheep from a farmer friend and has two border collies, Mist, who is a friendly companion, and now Moss, the border collie pup, who is learning to work. "I have lived in the village most of my life and enjoy the closeness of the community". Rosey has one daughter, Holly (12). Weekends Rosey works at Bransby Horses Home in Lincolnshire.
After leaving school she joined the City and County Museum, Natural History Department working with local naturalist, Maurice Johnson. Maurice encouraged her love of natural history and, in his role as Assistant Keeper of Natural History involved her in research such as evidence of dormice in Lincolnshire (non found although they have now been re-introduced.) Unfortunately the natural history department was closed down and Rosey moved to another museum.
Rosey now writes and photographs for many national magazines and papers and has been published in several, including, The Times, BBC Wildlife, Wildlife and Countryside , The Countryman, The Guide to Great Photography, Digital Photography, Country Kitchen. The Times, The Telegraph, Equestrian Life and The Countryman's Weekly.
Rosey has done some radio, mainly for local programmes, you can hear some unedited podcasts on the new page. Rosey's photographs are sold around the world and are on display in Australia. Rosey's commissions are also on display in national and multinational business organisations. Recent work has also included garden photographs for various designers.
Rosey created Lincolnshire Cam in 2002, a website dedicated to the Lincolnshire landscape. Rosey, a proud yellowbelly felt it was about time Lincolnshire was put on the map. After five successful years and nearly one million visitors , Lincolnshire Cam has evolved to become www.uknaturepics.com, this reflects the international interest in her work and to be a purely professional site.
